Our approach
Dance is more than steps.
Inspire Mambo is focused on helping people become confident, musical and enjoyable social dancers—not simply teaching routines to memorise for one evening.
We teach On2 salsa with an emphasis on strong fundamentals, musicality, comfortable partner connection and confidence on the dance floor. Whether you are completely new to salsa or already have experience, the aim is to help you understand the dance and make genuine progress.
Classes are structured and progressive while remaining relaxed, welcoming and enjoyable. You do not need previous dance experience and you do not need to bring a partner.
More than anything, Inspire Mambo is about creating a community where people can learn properly, meet others, enjoy great music and become more confident dancers.

Meet James.
Inspire Mambo was founded by James to create the kind of salsa school he believes helps people become confident, musical and enjoyable social dancers.
After years of learning, social dancing and attending salsa events and congresses in the UK and internationally, James wanted to bring structured On2 salsa teaching to Sutton in an environment that feels welcoming from the moment someone walks through the door.
His teaching focuses on strong fundamentals, clear timing, comfortable partner connection and understanding why movements work—not simply memorising a new routine every week.
Whether you are taking your first ever salsa class or developing your existing dancing, the aim is to help you progress while enjoying the music, meeting people and becoming part of a genuine local community.
